Just like you, we all have been shocked and saddened by the events in Wisconsin on Sunday. At this tough time for the Sikh American community, the need of the hour is to not only show support for those impacted by the shooting, but also to express solidarity with our neighbors.

To pay our respects to those who were impacted by this shooting, as well as to share our grief with our neighbors, all the Gurdwaras in the DFW metroplex are jointly organizing a candlelight vigil on Wednesday, August 8th at 7:30 pm at the Sikh Temple of North Texas, 506 Gatewood Dr, Garland, TX 75043.

The event will be kicked off with a shabads, followed by interfaith and other speakers, concluding with a candlelight vigil. Elected officials from the metroplex, other dignitaries, as well as the combined congregations of the local Gurdwara Sahib, are expected to attend.

Sangat is requested to attend with their families to show their support.
